A member of the White House’s economic task force has spoken out against future lockdowns and the shuttering of businesses amid the coronavirus pandemic. During a recent interview, economist Stephen Moore claimed the U.S. is recovering, but not as quickly as he would like.
Moore went on to say that America needs to get running again. He suggested lockdowns did not work the first time, so they won’t work a second time.
The economist also criticized House Democrats, who are trying to pass a $3 trillion stimulus package, for standing in the way of the president’s progress.

“Nancy Pelosi says ‘no’ to all of those things. She doesn’t want to do anything, in my opinion and in the opinion of the people at the White House I am talking to. The last thing Nancy Pelosi wants is to help the economy in the fall, because they want to win the election.” – Stephen Moore, economist
Moore added he has advised the president to go around Pelosi as much as possible through executive action.
